A few highlights from a balmy summer evening

The garden, designed by Andy Sturgeon, is divided into a series of rooms defined by yew and beech hedging, each with its own character. It gave the evening different corners to settle into. Tables filled with familiar faces.

"Evenings like this are what community means to us," said Julie Fawcett, CEO of Auriens. "It's a chance to come together and celebrate the community we've built."

The evening opened with Ruben and Lydia, the saxophone duo Pneumatik, playing from the lobby balcony over the garden below. A buffet followed, alongside Birley Bakery's ice cream stand which drew a steady queue between conversations.

Funk, pop and soul band The Funky Fratellos closed out the evening with a set of Motown and soul covers, from Michael Jackson to Stevie Wonder.
