A Tchaikovsky Fairytale at Auriens Chelsea

Published - 11 December 2025
Introduction
As part of our new partnership with the English National Ballet School, dancers from the ENBS Graduate Artists Programme visited Auriens Chelsea to present A Tchaikovsky Fairytale during our Christmas season.

The performance, choreographed by ENBS Artistic Director Lynne Charles, included key excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty such as the Finger Fairy, the Lilac Fairy and Aurora’s solo. It also featured well-known pieces from The Nutcracker, including the Russian Dance and the grand pas de deux. Clara, the Prince and King Rat also appeared throughout the programme, highlighting some of Tchaikovsky’s most recognisable ballet moments.

For the students, the evening offered valuable experience performing established repertoire in an intimate setting. For residents, it was an opportunity to enjoy high-calibre ballet within the comfort of Auriens.

General Manager William Harding said:

“I can’t remember the last time an event created such a palpable sense of excitement at Auriens. The choreography, the dancers and the costumes were extraordinary, and the interaction between the students and our residents made the day truly memorable. We received an outpouring of positive feedback from residents and team members alike, marking a remarkable launch to an exciting new partnership that people have been talking about ever since.”

We extend our thanks to the ENBS Graduate Artists for their professionalism and look forward to future collaborations.
